What is the The BusNSW Knowledge Engine?

Bus & Coach operators today are faced with a large number of accreditation and legal requirements. The record keeping and reporting requirements for these are enough to overwhelm even the most diligent operator. The BusNSW Knowledge Engine is a web based tool to assist operators meet their OH&S, Drug & Alcohol, Workers Compensation & SMS obligations. How can the Knowledge Engine help you?

To help lessen the burden the BusNSW in conjunction with Faulkner Technologies has developed the BusNSW Knowledge Engine. This interactive web based tool assists operators to maintain compliance and manage record keeping in four key areas:
1. Occupational Health and Safety
2. Workers Compensation
3. Safety Management Systems and
4. Drug and Alcohol Programs

How does the Knowledge Engine Work?

The Knowledge Engine allows operators to not only download and adapt forms and documentation relevant to these obligations, but provides a range of self assessments enabling the operator to “test” their systems against those required under the legislation. Where the operator’s systems fall short they are directed to the relevant tools and information that allow internal systems to be improved cheaply, efficiently and effectively.

Over time the BusNSW hopes to expand the Knowledge Engine to cover Industrial Relations, Bus Maintenance and a range of other accreditation / contract conditions.

When and How can you access the Knowledge Engine?

The Knowledge Engine is accessible free of charge to BusNSW members. Accessing the Knowledge will be as simple as opening the BusNSW website www.busnsw.com.au and clicking on the Knowledge Engine link.
